newbies

this is a layout about nelo & me as newbies when it comes to our dslr.

these photos were taken barely a week after we bought the camera. good thing my niece had the same type of camera, so i told nelo to take a photo of me holding it and vice versa.

i used a prima sketch here for inspiration. notice that film slide? i've had those since i started scrapping in 2005. i never really found a need to use them until i created this layout. it holds photos taken by nelo & me.

love the kaiser wood flourish! i used an entire pack of 4 pcs. here. i had to cut it up to maximize it on the design.

by the way, this is my entry to the july challenge at scrap-it-lah. we had to choose from a set of malaysian menu when creating the design. i chose the following from the menu. enjoy!
(main dish) Nasi Lemak = Use chipboards/stickers
(side dish) Sambal Petai Udang = Hidden journaling
(dessert) Kueh Lapis = use paint/ink
(drinks) Teh O' Ais Limau= Your choice of papers

materials used: cardstock - bazzill; patterned paper, alpha sticker, journaling pad - prima; wood flourish - kaisercraft; metal clip - making memories; ink - colorbox; glitter glue - leeho; slide mount
