little discovery

this is a layout i created using the june sketch from scrap-it-lah, a malaysian blog challenge ran by mich and jessy. i realized it will be much faster for me to finish layouts if i start off with a sketch.

i used here a photo of a sculpture we discovered at greenbelt 3 near the church. it's a sculpture of kids playing tug-o-war. saw this when we attended mass and stayed outside since the church was already full. it was there in one part of the garden outside the church. i've been passing through that route often but i never really noticed that sculpture until that day..

i mentioned in my previous post that i've been using up some of my old stash. this layout was no exception. used papers i've had since 2007, i just mixed in a strip of new ones. see the fasternater staple wires? had that since 2006. i got them on sale when we went to texas that year. and no, i don't have the fastenater, just the wires. lol! used the felt scroll here as well.

materials used: cardstock - dcwv; patterned paper - 7gypsies, prima, scenic route; journal note - prima; bingo card - jenni bowlin; chipboard - heidi swapp; sticker alpha - making memories; felt - q&co; ek success - fastenater; acrylic & glitter paint - lil' davis; ink - chalkbox; others - button, ribbon
