birthday card

here's a birthday card i created using the april kit - shrooms and buds from a walk down memory lane. this is one of my last projects for awdml as part of their design team. it was a fun experience designing for lisa and she is such a supportive boss for the entire design team.

incidentally, they have an ongoing design team call. you may want to check it out and send in your application.

i got in! i am now a my sketch world card dt.

it's amazing to be with all the wonderful ladies that lucy chesna picked for her card and layout dt's.

i also tried out for the layout dt call but unfortunately didn't make it. still, i'm quite happy with what i have created. this was our family photo taken during my dad's 62nd birthday.

journal: a simple way to celebrate your 62nd birthday. a hearty lunch, mass together and a studio pictorial to capture the moment. happy birthday daddy! (february 17, 2008)

i had a bit of a break yesterday after having lunch with my mom. i decided to do some cards instead. i intend to give this to the upcoming scrapbook fundraising.


made these mostly using my scraps and a little bit of stamping.

been trying my hand at some cards lately.

this is quite simple but it's something to fill in the gaps when i can't seem to do actual layouts.

plus, i get to use up my scraps. no new patterned papers were used for these cards. lol!

holiday cards

i've been rushing on some holiday cards for some friends and family. still have to prepare a few more later.

i used the fancy pants blissful season stamps. and i am lovin' it! good thing studio azul was selling this during the se-ps xmas party.

yup! it's on the december issue of pagemaps!

i got an email early last month from THE becky fleck asking if i'm interested in creating samples for her sketches. heck! who am i to turn down this chance. i know these are mainly for cards, but i wouldn't want to let this pass!

I’ve just finished the December 2007 set of CardMaps and am looking for contributors to make samples for the newsletter and web site. You had emailed me previously expressing an interest in creating samples. If you are still interested, please reply to this email no later than Monday, November 5, 2007 , and I will send you a sketch and further details. Also, please let me know your size preference (5x7, 3x8, 6x6 or 7x5) and whether you would like to create one or two samples.

but becky used my maiden name there (liza bacalangco). hehehe. she probably based it on my surname in my email signature.

here's another set of cards i made. i've been using scraps mostly for these cards. a great way to dispose of those small bits of paper i've accumulated.

i used the wrong greeting on the pink one. that was supposed to be a birthday card. i'll just have to do another one.

cards

this is my first attempt at making cards.

i've never really been used to making my own cards. i either buy them or i just email or text the person and greet them or say hi.

but i've joined a scrapbook forum and they are so into cards. they even have challenges on these little babies. so here i am joining the bandwagon and dipping my hand into card making. here are the results:
