week #4 - "enjoy vacation"
it was quite a challenge for week #4 for the ms. scrap-tastic challenge. we were tasked to follow a sketch and use only a 8x10 photo (for a 12x12 layout), theme is focused on what we love about summer and only 2 different patterns of paper are allowed.
it was a bit of a stretch for me at the start but i was able to pull through eventually. good thing we were allowed to use cardstock for this one. i had my photo edited (with the help of a friend) and mixed in 2 different photos to have that summer feel. i used a map-printed vellum for the accent and used bits of pattern from 2 patterned papers. then it was mostly die-cuts for me. i love the result and it really shouted summer. lol!
materials used:
cardstock - dcwv, american crafts; vellum - american traditionals; patterned paper - imaginisce; die-cuts - october afternoon; chipboard - american crafts; dymo tape; rub-ons - fontwerks; glimmer mist - tattered angels; brads/turns; diamond glaze
